Speaking and Hosting

I am an experienced and eloquent public speaker. Passionate about connecting people and nature.

I have been the keynote and headline speaker at many prestigious wildlife and nature festivals and events, sharing experiences about my life as a presenter and a mother and the challenges of bringing kids up as “Free Range”.

Drawing on my experiences on and off screen, I aim to engage and entertain audiences by making wildlife relevant and accessible. I have a secure scientific background and knowledge and love to inspire people about the natural world around them.

I speak at many careers fairs, school prize giving ceremonies and festivals, sharing my passion for the putdoors and inspiring young people to follow careers in the Media and STEM subjects.

Hosting

I host many conferences, awards ceremonies and charity fundraising events. I also chairs and appears on panel discussions on Marine issues and parenting.

I hosted the launch of Planet Earth II in Bristol, interviewing Sir David Attenborough after the premier screening.

I talk on Cruise ships including trips for Hebridean Princess and Hurtigruten.

  • Wildscreen - hosting workshops and events at this prestigious International Film Festival in 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016

  • Gympanzees Night of Concorde 2018 Summer Ball - Hosting this fundraising event which raised nearly £20,000 for this Bristol-based charity helping to amke play spaces accessible to children of all disabilities.

  • Bude Wave Conference - Host

  • Bristol Zoo Annual Gala Dinner 2015 - Host

Being a keen musician, I also narrate musical performances, including recently, Peter and the Wolf and Carnival of the Animals for the New Bristol Sinfonia and Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra, and the Bristol Schools Christmas concerts at St George’s Brandon Hill.

In 2019 I introduced 2 concerts on the theme of birdsong for:
